The Nation Room – Embassy of No Land
The Nation Room – Embassy of No Land is a project in collaboration with Kiluanji Kia Henda, part of the exhibition The Real and Other Fictions, curated by Mariana Pestana, for Close, Closer, the third edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.
In the current context of distrust towards the democratic models which characterise our societies, this is the embassy of an imaginary nation, which represents no particular time or place.
It is an interactive installation, featuring a series of typical archetypes of a place of political representation, a place for receptions, performances, debates and other events open to the public.
The project was enabled by civil associations, NGOs and under-represented groups working on the areas of political activism, citizenship and social inclusion.
